Knowing the amount of time it takes for your henna to fully darken, and reach it’s peak stain quality is a worthwhile factor to consider when scheduling your appointment, if you are planning to flaunt it at a special event or coordinate with a photo shoot. For both henna and jagua, there is a 48 hour period during which your design is maturing and darkening. As you can see in our picture, there is a gradual evolution over this time. Jagua, while it is a different color, has much the same progression, starting out especially faint initially. For henna, your design will be bright orange at first and then gradually darken to brown. For jagua, your design will initially be a very pale yellow and will darken to a brilliant bluish black.
